Pot magnets are powerful, compact, and versatile fasteners used to quickly and easily secure, position, clamp, suspend, or close metal objects such as doors, lettering, tools, or machine parts. All of these require no drilling or screws and are easy to move.
The pot magnet has a steel housing that ensures that the magnetic field radiates in one direction while protecting the magnet from demagnetization. This structure makes the magnet super strong. The magnets are used in industry, commerce and homes.
What are pot magnets made of?
Pot magnets are mainly composed of three parts:
1. Permanent magnets:
Made of NdFeB (NdFeB), or ceramic (ferrite) materials.
2. Steel housing:
As an outer sheath, provides a strong and durable structure for the magnet. The steel case shorts the magnetic circuit, causing the magnetic force to move in one direction. What is important here is that the pot magnet is fully connected to the ferromagnetic pairing.
3. Protective coating:
Magnets and steel casings are coated with nickel, zinc or epoxy to protect against corrosion, chemicals and wear. Rubber coatings are also possible. It is non-slip and keeps the surface scratch free.
The magnet type and coating depend on the final application, as does the fastening method: threaded rod, threaded bushing or countersunk hole. The possibilities for pot magnets are endless.
If you want to hold, clamp or position metal objects in machinery or equipment, or if you want to hang or secure something in an industrial application. The pot magnet is the designated tool that can help you do this.
